A Care Home in Binley

Our care services at Youell Court Care Home

We provide a range of care tailored to individual needs for the community of Coventry

Residential Care

Residential care at Pressbeau is about more than meals and medication. It’s about a sense of ease, connection and comfort – with daily routines that suit you, support that’s always close by, and a home where you feel part of something.

Whether someone needs a little help getting started in the morning, or simply doesn’t want to manage a household alone anymore, we’re here to offer just the right balance of support and independence.

Respite Care

Whether it’s for recovery, a family break, or just to try out life in care, respite stays at Pressbeau are warm, welcoming and built around the individual.
For some, it’s a pause between hospital and home. For others, it’s a chance to rest and recharge, knowing that trained, friendly people are always nearby.

Palliative Care

When someone reaches the later stages of life, they deserve more than medical care. They deserve gentle, respectful support, a calm environment, and people who treat every moment with meaning.

At Pressbeau, our palliative care is built around the person, not just the condition. We listen, we adapt, and we do everything we can to bring comfort, peace and presence - for both residents and their families.

Rehab & Convalescent Care

Recovering after a hospital stay or illness takes more than rest. It takes the right support, at the right pace, in a place that feels encouraging and safe. Our rehab and convalescent care gives people the time and space to rebuild strength, restore confidence and feel ready to return home - or simply feel like themselves again.

Dementia Care

Living with dementia can bring uncertainty, but the right care brings steadiness, comfort and calm. At Pressbeau, we create spaces where every day feels safe, structured and gently joyful.

Our teams are trained in dementia support, but more importantly, they know how to listen. We take time to understand each person’s routines, preferences and personal story - because familiarity makes all the difference.

I've had the privilege of managing Youell Court since 2017, after more than 24 years in care. I'm a dementia friend, I hold my Level 5 in Leadership & Management, and in 2020 I was proud to be a finalist in the Great British Care Awards — but what matters most to me is the everyday: that every resident here feels known, valued and genuinely cared for. When you walk through our doors you'll find a calm, happy home where families are always welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Do come and see us — the kettle's always on.

Loving Life

A day in the life at Youell Court Care Home

Life at Youell Court is gentle, friendly and unhurried — the kind of home where staff know your routine, there's always time for a chat, and every day is shaped around the people living here. We don't overcomplicate things. We just make sure each person's day feels right for them.

Morning

Start the day your way — a lie-in, breakfast in your room, or a natter with the morning staff.

Mid-morning

Mid-mornings might bring a singalong, a craft session, a game of cards, or our much-loved Sunday chapel service.

Lunch

Meals are proper, comforting and made fresh — roast dinners, home-baked cakes and plenty of choice, shared around the table with friends.

Afternoon

Afternoons are easy-going — music, a film, time in the garden, or a visit from family and the occasional four-legged friend.

Evening

As evening comes around, residents wind down at their own pace — a hot drink, a chat, or their feet up in front of the telly.

Warm words

My father's stay at Youell Court was short but wonderful. From the moment he moved in, he and all his family were made most welcome, and every member of staff was clearly fully engaged in making his care the best it could be. His final days were as comfortable as possible, managed with his best interests uppermost in everyone's mind. I cannot thank the staff enough for taking such great care of Dad and making him feel so loved."

Friend or relative of the family

My mother first came to Youell Court for respite care and we've been so happy with how well they've looked after her that she's been there ever since. She's received exemplary care and is doing so well. I couldn't be happier with the team and the manager — they are excellent and I would thoroughly recommend Youell Court."

Nicola N, Daughter of Resident
Friend or relative of the family

Mum moved into Youell Court following the passing of my Dad. She has been made to feel very welcome and settled in well. The carers are very kind to her and take great care when dealing with her needs, and the management visit often to make sure Mum is happy and comfortable."

David E, Son of Resident
Friend or relative of the family

The home is lovely and warm and the staff are always kind and supportive when we visit, actively keeping us involved in Mum's care plan. Mum enjoys the countless activities, and as her memory has deteriorated we're so grateful for all their kindness, love and support. For anyone looking for a place to care for, encourage and support a loved one with dignity in later life, I highly recommend Youell Court."

Beverley W, Daughter-in-law of Resident
Friend or relative of the family

We visited in person and were immediately impressed by the attitude of all the staff and the 'vibe' of the place. The whole home felt more like home than 'a home', and we witnessed simple acts of kindness and care throughout our visit. The staff made my father's care individual, and although he was only with them a month, I could not have wished for better care. I'm forever grateful to them."
